about
'Class War' is the new single, released January 1 2024. The first release in a series of monthly new song releases for 2024.
The song is about how the ruling classes and their paymasters are asset stripping the UK and increasing poverty across the land for personal gain. The greatest con that is used for mass control is that of divide and rule. Turning bigger earners of the workforce on the lesser earners and those in turn on the out of work. The workforce of the UK is one of mixed fortunes but whether you are working for minimum wage of £150K a year, you are still working to make the richest one 1% way richer. Billionaires are such, primarily through unpaid wages. The answer is quite simple, society needs a fairer distribution of wealth.
We should also, always be suspicious of our elected governments with regard to their support for foreign wars and their ready engagement in wars. The funding of arms and donation of arms is at the taxpayers expense, with the profits going into private hands. We hear deflections of questions about ministers shareholdings, claims of 'blind portfolios'. The same with regard to shares in fossil fuels and the NHS.
The UK population is constantly being gaslighted. Don't believe everything you read in the news, dig deeper.
My opinion, my world view. Nice one, thanks for listening, SJ Collier
lyrics
Class War - (Lyrics)
It’s not about bullets the bombs and the guns
It's all about the commerce, the finance and the funds
Those with everything, those who have not
Those that haven’t much and those that have got the lot
It's not fought with steel but cuts like knives
It's fought with division and still costs lives
Hiking taxes, changing laws
Ask yourself who are they working for
We’re only saying, what we’re thinking
It’s all so real
We’re only saying, what we’re thinking
It’s all so real
Reaping riches on the backs of the poor
Keeping down the wages that’s what’s in store
They’ve never got enough and much wants more
It’s a class war, a class war, a class war
The battlefield is finance and who gets what
The corporate big guns they take their best shot
Shooting down the masses controlling what we earn
And still we take it won’t we ever learn
Shareholders dividends the holy grail
Bonuses and payouts even when they fail
Propped up and topped up by the public purse
Wages shrink as we hit reverse
We’re only saying, what we’re thinking
It’s all so real
We’re only saying, what we’re thinking
It’s all so real
Reaping riches on the backs of the poor
Keeping down the wages that’s what’s in store
They’ve never got enough and much wants more
It’s a class war, a class war, a class war
They don’t need battalions to fill us with dread
They choose to fight us with cuts instead
Distraction, division, their tools of war
Fear and poverty to keep us insecure
There is always plenty to share around
But a weaponised economy beats us down
We don’t want it all but times are tough
Fair chance, fair share, so share enough
We’re only saying, what we’re thinking
It’s all so real
We’re only saying, what we’re thinking
It’s all so real
Reaping riches on the backs of the poor
Keeping down the wages that’s what’s in store
They’ve never got enough and much wants more
It’s a class war, a class war, a class war

No self interest here, honest. My old band, this is a bunch of demos that would've been an amazing album. As it is, they're pretty cool demos. Distance From Zero
